St. Maarten Heineken Regatta Production Director, John Leone, comments, “We’re thrilled to have Shermanology on board for the 39th St. Maarten Heineken Regatta – their irresistible electronic R&B swagger is not to be missed and will be sure to get the crowd up and jumping! Their hit “Can’t Stop Me” with Afrojack is one of the hottest club songs of the past few years, and one of my personal favorites. The combination of exhilarating sailing by day and electrifying music by night makes for a refreshing treat. We’ve got some awesome acts planned for the legendary regatta parties this year, so keep an eye on our social media to be the first to know!”

Hailing from both the Caribbean and Amsterdam, Shermanology has a comprehensive resume of imposing performances, productions and collaborations with artists, such as providing the soul-stirring vocals for the 2011 hit single ‘Blessed’ with Avicii. With their roots deeply intertwined with the peak of UK garage, the European R&B market and their native Curacao’s Caribbean influences, Andy and Dorothy Sherman have spent the past several years honing their own soulful brand of polished urban pop with a party-savvy pulse.

Having served as writers for acts as diverse as Sting and Martin Garrix and through collaborations with the likes of MNEK, Raphaella and MOODS, Shermanology have a reputation for a high melodic stamp and hip shaking beats. Their 2016 single ‘Movin’ Too Fast’ was supported by Kiss FM (UK), Radio 538 (NL), Sirius XM (US), The Chainsmokers, Don Diablo, Oliver Heldens and Tiësto.

The St. Maarten Heineken Regatta is now in its 39th year and has become an unmissable event in the global sailing calendar. The pristine conditions offered by the Caribbean Sea mean the racing days blend seamlessly into four nights of exceptional parties, situated located at the St. Maarten’s Heineken Regatta Village at the Port de Plaisance Resort, Casino and Yacht Club on the beautiful island of St. Maarten.
