On 31st January 2013 at BVI House, London, the British Virgin Islands Tourist Board will host a cocktail party to re-launch their Natures Little Secret Agents (NLSA) online training programme with a number exciting changes to be announced aimed at improving travel agents depth of knowledge on the BVI’s and incentivise them with rewards and prizes for selling the destination. New features will include a private forum for agents to share BVI news and stories, log their bookings, find out details about upcoming fam trips and it will also give them access to seek advice direct from the tourist board as and when needed. It will become a crucial go-to resource for agents when making bookings to the BVI’s.

The new programme aims to broaden agents knowledge of the BVI’s through a set of online modules that must completed for them to be considered a ‘Special Agent’ and earn rewards. Once agents register their interest they are assigned their ‘Agent in Training’ title and must complete five compulsory and three optional modules. The range of modules will include; About the BVI, How to Get There, Accommodation, Sailing, Weddings and Honeymoons, Entry Requirements, Events and Festivals etc. Agents will be given a set amount of to time to complete each module and if agents fail they will be given another go with a fresh set of questions. On successful completion the ‘Special Agents’ can then begin to register their bookings. Once two successful bookings have been made the agents will automatically earn themselves the coveted titles of ‘Secret Agent’ and a chance to experience the BVI’s first hand with a place on the NLSA group fam trip, the first of which is currently planned for April 2013.

The BVI Tourist Board is also planning a number of road shows throughout 2013 to spread the word on the destination and meet with various agents. The BVI’s top producing agents will also be in a position to win various awards throughout the year (to be in with a chance to win, agents must register their bookings on the NLSA website) with the top agent with most bookings registered winning the star prize - an all-expenses paid trip to the BVI’s!

The newly redesigned NLSA online programme will not only help to generate better interaction between the tourist board and agents but ultimately it will improve the ability to track agents bookings more accurately which in turn will allow the BVI’s to offer greater incentives throughout 2013.
