~ Escape the doom and gloom and take a trip to the sunny skies of the Caribbean ~

4th March 2019; With the winter months slowly passing by why not take a trip to the sunnier climes of the Caribbean in lieu of International Day of Happiness on March 20th, 2019.

With the cooler, darker months of January and February proven to increase our feelings of guilt, lower our moods and interest in every activities, guests looking to inject a little bit of sunshine into their lives need look any further.  With 16 Sandals Resorts located across Jamaica, Antigua, Saint Lucia, The Bahamas, Barbados and Grenada, guests can take advantage of Sandals’ Luxury-Included® (all-inclusive) offering and forget their winter woes.

With both land and water sports included at all resorts, guests can have a break away from their daily routines by exploring the colourful reefs, exotic tropical fish and the most crystal-clear waters with unlimited snorkelling or climbing aboard a glass bottom boat and experiencing a unique underwater landscape. Alternatively, couples can try their hand at sailing or windsurfing with the brisk sea breezes and the unparalleled beauty of the Caribbean Sea.

Guests looking to enhance their holiday experience further can take a day trip out to local Caribbean communities with Island Routes Adventure Tours and take part in a Reading Road Trip which provides a unique opportunity to engage with Caribbean children and enhance their lives as part of a local 'Community Routes Program'.

The Reading Road Trip is a weekly outreach programme which supports educational initiatives set by the Sandals Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Sandals Resorts. This two-hour long excursion allows those taking part to “give something back” to the local community as well as giving guests the opportunity to engage with Caribbean children at a local school.  Proceeds from the Reading Road Trip cover the cost of guests’ transportation, with the rest going back into the Sandals Foundation ($25pp).

Those looking to unwind on their holidays can also take advantage of Sandals Resorts, Red Lane Spa®, where there are a number of different treatments available. Guests can opt for the ‘In Good Spirits Massage’ and ‘Caribbean glow Treatment’, to revitalise the mind and soul, before sipping a cocktail and soaking up the afternoon sun.
