Nautor’s Swan is returning to the bay of Naples for the Rolex Capri Sailing Week with a consistent fleet.

The regatta is part of the ClubSwan Racing Calendar which includes handicap races, together with the Swan One Design ones, ClubSwan 42s, Swan 45s, ClubSwan 50s and the new and innovative ClubSwan 36.

Enrico Chieffi, Nautor’s Swan Vice President, comments “We are pleased to be next to our partner Rolex and to the three coordinating yacht clubs during this important event, as we share the same passion for sea and sailing. Nobody will never forget the competitive Swan 45 fleet participation in the 2004 Gold Cup, enriched in 2006 and 2007 by the ClubSwan 42s and by the Swan Maxi Class in 2008. This year we are glad to come back to Capri to attend this iconic regatta assigning the Capri ClubSwan Award to the best placed Swan.”

More than 10 Swan yachts will race in the RCSW. Tomorrow, May 15th, in the Maxi Yacht Capri Trophy we will see competing Swan 65 Force 9 of London, Swan 601 LORINA 1895; Swan 80 PLIS PLAY and Swan 60 Spirit of Europe. This last model, designed by German Frers and on water since 2012, will be a fully female helmed and managed boat. The well-known Cristiana Monina is running the team together with Claudia Addezio, in the role of Captain. They will be accompained by other superstars in the sailing panorama: Giulia Conti, Francesca Clapcich and Giovanna Micol, Olympic champions, Sally Barkow who competed in 2 Volvo Ocean Races and Claudia Rossi, J-70 class European champion in 2016 and 2017.

ClubSwan 50 Drifter Sail, Swan 45 Ulika and ClubSwan 42 Be Wild will compete in Campionato Nazionale del Tirreno (May 16th to 18th).

Giovanni Pomati, Nautor’s Group CEO, comments “In Nautor’s Swan regattas have always been one of the core activities. The collaboration with our partners and with the most high-profile yacht clubs worldwide, offer us the opportunity to organise and be part of races in the best places in the world, offering our owners fun and competition in exclusive settings, like the wonderful Capri. Last but not least, we are extremely proud to have a female crew competing on Spirit of Europe, focusing on equal opportunities in those sports considered mainly male oriented”.

The presence of great champions on board Nautor’s Swan boats, confirms once again one of the aspects of the brand’s DNA.
