Simpson Bay, St. Maarten – January 17, 2019
Regatta Organizers are proud to announce two expanded initiatives to its Regatta Village during the upcoming 39th edition of the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta. The “EcoPark” and “ArtPark” will be open from the Regatta Village grand opening on Monday February 25th until the end of the Regatta on March 3rd, 2019.
St. Maarten’s Regatta Village, the hub of all event activity, will be located at the Port de Plaisance Resort, Casino and Yacht Club for the week of the Regatta. The ArtPark will be open to the island’s talented artists and crafts people while the EcoPark will highlight the many local green and sustainability organizations and initiatives on the island.
“The goal of these parks is to provide visitors and residents of the island with an informative experience during the Regatta while at the same time providing a location for local artists to showcase their work. Whether you’re a painter, sculpter, soap maker, recycler, water cleaner, or similar we will help you get your products and message out to the many visitors and locals to our event”, said General Manager Michele Korteweg.
