Additional Summer Flights from the Carrier's Largest Hub Allow for
Easier Connections from the Western US
Basseterre, St. Kitts (January 25, 2019) - For the first time in the island's history, American Airlines is launching non-stop Saturday flights to the Federation of St Kitts & Nevis from Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), the carrier's largest hub, operating throughout the summer.
"The addition of a non-stop flight from Dallas/Fort Worth by American Airlines marks yet another historic first for St. Kitts & Nevis as the destination continues to build out airlift from key source markets," said Racquel Brown, CEO of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority. "We are extremely pleased to welcome this additional service, which demonstrates American's confidence in the Federation as a desirable destination for travelers. Further, this increases the available options for visitors and Diaspora to get to island during the summer family travel season, both non-stop from Dallas/Fort Worth as well as via one-stop connections from a number of cities in the Western US."
American will operate the new Saturday non-stop flights from May 25 - August 17, 2019 utilizing a 128-seat Airbus A-319 aircraft with 8 First Class seats, 24 Main Cabin Extra seats and 96 main cabin seats as follows-

"This new service to St. Kitts will not only promote travel and tourism to the island, but will also provide our local customers with one-stop access to the world-class network that we operate out of our Dallas/Fort Worth hub with plans for more than 900 daily flights to over 200 destinations around the world this summer," said Cathy-Ann Edwards Joseph, American's Country Manager for the Eastern Caribbean.
Complementing the new Dallas/Fort Worth flight, American also operates non-stop Saturday flights to Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport from New York-JFK and Charlotte plus daily non-stop flights (with twice daily non-stop flights from Wednesdays through Sundays) from Miami. With the addition of this new route from Dallas/Fort Worth there is a greater potential for an increase in air passenger arrivals into St. Kitts & Nevis.
