As you know, hurricanes in the Caribbean have dominated the recent news. There are many, many islands throughout the Caribbean, and very few were seriously effected. While our hearts go out to the affected areas in the United States and the hard hit islands of the Caribbean, we feel extremely blessed because with the exception of two, all of our resorts are in great shape. And as always, ready to make all of your holiday dreams come true.
At Beaches Turks and Caicos, we are hard at work led by our own very experienced, professional Project teams. Beaches Turks & Caicos was mostly spared, only suffering superficial damage including important vegetation and water damage in many bedrooms. However we would never consider opening its doors, with its multitude of facilities and services, unless it was completely up to our extremely high standards. This extraordinary resort will reopen on December 14th, 2017 and it will be even better than before!
While Sandals Grande Antigua, our second effected resort, suffered minor superficial damage, it was always scheduled to close for maintenance and refurbishments. As previously planned, this magnificent resort will reopen on schedule - December 17th and as our flagship resort in Antigua, it will live up to its stellar reputation as the five-star resort that it is.
I would like to sincerely thank our management and staff who went beyond the call of duty to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests during this time. All of our resorts have comprehensive stand-by water and power and because of this fact, our resorts never lost power and our staff continued to serve our guests food and non-alcoholic drinks. And our hats are off to the many guests who offered to help and made it so easy for us to look after them, and an absolute pleasure to serve them.
For our guests who cancelled their plans for understandable reasons, I would like to encourage you to rebook and continue with your original plans as I promise you the unmatched holiday of a lifetime. We have 14 magnificent resorts open, fully operating and waiting to welcome you home.
