The Caribbean just became easier, smoother, and infinitely more connected for global travellers. In late November 2025, Virgin Atlantic and interCaribbean Airways officially signed a new interline (inter-island) agreement, creating one of the most convenient travel links the region has seen in years.

This bold partnership binds Virgin’s long-haul powerhouse network with interCaribbean’s extensive regional routes — allowing passengers to glide from Europe straight into the heart of the Caribbean and onwards to the smaller, harder-to-reach islands, all on one seamless ticket

A New Era of Caribbean Connectivity

Here’s the beauty of the deal:

A traveller flying from London can now land in Barbados or Antigua with Virgin Atlantic, and then effortlessly transfer onto an interCaribbean Airways flight — with no rebookingno baggage hassle, and no airport chaos.

It’s a streamlined, stress-free solution that finally links major global gateways to remote island gems.

Destinations That Are Now Easier Than Ever

Thanks to interCaribbean’s network, travellers can now access 11 Caribbean destinations, including:

  • Dominica

  • St Lucia

  • St Kitts & Nevis

  • Grenada

  • Turks & Caicos

  • Kingston (Jamaica)

  • Georgetown (Guyana)

  • Plus several other island communities sprinkled across the region

And that’s not all — Virgin Atlantic is also enhancing its partnership with Caribbean Airlines, adding even more route possibilities for sun-chasers and returning diaspora families.

Meanwhile, Virgin’s own inter-island services are increasing this winter, with flights between Barbados, Grenada, and Saint Vincent & the Grenadines rising from twice weekly to three times a week, operated by the ultra-modern Airbus A330-900neo

Comfort, efficiency, and a touch of Virgin luxury.

What This Means for UK Travellers (Yes — especially you)

  • One Ticket, One Journey

No more juggling multiple bookings. Your entire journey — London to your final Caribbean island — is booked in a single transaction.

  • Through-Check Baggage

Your luggage meets you at your last stop, even across airlines. No reclaiming. No re-checking. No drama.

  • Smarter Island-Hopping

The Caribbean opens up like a treasure map. Even islands that usually require ferries, tiny aircraft, or complex transfers become accessible with ease.

  • A Major Win for Caribbean Diaspora

Those visiting relatives on smaller islands will finally skip the hassle that has plagued regional travel for decades.

  • Virgin Comfort All the Way

With the A330-900neo joining inter-island routes, the upgrade in comfort and reliability is real.

The Bigger Picture: A Stronger, More Connected Caribbean

This partnership is more than an aviation technicality — it is a strategic move that strengthens the Caribbean’s tourism sector, supports smaller island economies, and encourages visitors to explore beyond the well-known hotspots.

By linking international long-haul flights with local regional networks, tourism can now spread more evenly, bringing opportunity and growth to communities across the region.

For travellers, it’s a tropical dream come true.

For the Caribbean, it’s a step into a more united, more accessible future.
