Kate Moss Celebrates Her 40th Birthday With Richard Branson and Friends on Necker Island!

Supermodel and style icon Kate Moss celebrated her 40th birthday with a week at Sir Richard Branson’s fabulous Necker Island retreat.

You wouldn’t think it to look at her, but supermodel and style icon Kate Moss turned 40 this year. Unlike previous years, however, the British starlet shunned the bright lights of London for an altogether more peaceful celebration on one of the world’s most iconic island hideaways – Sir Richard Branson’s Necker Island.

The luxurious private island vacation was a generous birthday gift for the fashion queen by long-term friend and fellow Brit Sir Richard Branson offering Moss exclusive use of the Caribbean island for the duration of her birthday week, saving the supermodel an incredible GBP 280,000 in the process.

According to an insider close to the supermodel, Moss was bowled over by the Virgin mogul’s kindness and enjoyed a stress-free, pressfree week in the sunshine, surrounded by her closest friends and family. Relaxation was definitely the order of the day, however, Moss hasn’t lost her hard partying touch and put together the mother of all birthday parties.

“Kate didn’t want the fuss and bother of London and the drama that comes with it. She’s decided to celebrate in private. She was absolutely delighted Richard gave her the sole use of his island, and was so touched by his generosity.”

The supermodel and her husband, Jamie Hince, soaked up the sun and looked bronzed and tan when they were spotted a week or so later in London. Guests included Jude Law’s ex, Sadie Frost, hairdresser James Brown, party-planner extraordinaire Fran Cutler and socialite Annabelle Nielson. Her birthday celebration was a glamorous affair!
