Mick Jagger Escapes Stress of Designer Girlfriend’s Suicide in Mustique
It’s always horrible to read of any person taking their own life. But it has to be unfathomable for a guy like Mick Jagger to have it happen to someone so close to him no matter how rich and famous he is. We all know the expression, “No matter who you are, if I cut you, you’ll bleed.” Well, in the case of the Rolling Stones front man who recently turned 70, a bleeding heart is sadly what he has.
Jagger is spending indefinite time on the Caribbean island of Mustique at a seafront villa to help him come to terms with the death of his lover and designer to the stars, L’Wren Scott. It was at this property that he and Scott often would holiday together. For the record, there
was much speculation that Jagger and Scott had broken up before The Stones went off to Australia for their Down Under leg of their world tour. Not true, say close sources of the singer. And I believe him as Jagger cancelled the rest of the tour and immediately flew to
New York to arrange Scott’s funeral with her brother.
We’ll probably never know the reasons Scott took her own life. Newspaper reports say she was $5 million in debt and was about to be forced to shut down. Did she keep this secret from Jagger? I mean, $5 million for a guy like Mick Jagger is chump change.
Sources also say a month before she took her own life, Scott stayed at the villa in Mustique while Jagger left for the Stones tour.
