Cruisepackages for two are the perfect way to celebrate any romantic occasion from Valentine’s Day and proposals to anniversary, honeymoons and vow renewals

Couples looking to enjoy unhurried, quality time together have long enjoyed the relaxing romance of a cruise. In response to the demand, more and more cruise lines are offering beautifully created romance packages, in which every hearts and flowers attention to detail can be arranged to ensure the vacation is truly sublime. Nothing is too much trouble when it comes to helping couples reconnect onboard, with cruise staff able to organise some grand romantic gestures to get the trip off to an magical start. For example, rose petals scattered over the bedroom with hearts and flowers, or the biggest bouquet of red roses ever seen on passenger car raging vessel. Champagne, naturally, is kept on ice ready for your arrival on your chosen itinerary to romantic Caribbean islands.

Few things are as romantic than waking up each morning together, before enjoying a sumptuous breakfast in your private oasis on the sea. Stroll hand-in-hand around the deck with sea air enlivening the spirit, gazing out across sparkling turquoise waters that are home hidden wonders. You can sip cocktails together dreaming of faraway lands as you admire the sunset from your balcony, or dance in each other’s arms to the songs that first brought you both together. Then relish a midnight nightcap under a star-studded sky with dreams of far-far places and new horizons.

With gin-clear waters, swaying palms and secluded white-sand beaches it’s little wonder that the blissful Caribbean is a top destination for a romantic escape. Be it a down-on-one-knee pop-the-question, or a wedding, honeymoon or Valentine’s  Day treat, the Caribbean has more than 30 island ports to choose from where couples can sightsee, snorkel, shop and lounge side-by-side on the sands, as sometimes the best way to enjoy time with your soulmate is to simple do nothing at all.

According to a survey by Princess Cruises, 26 per cent of people would prefer to receive a trip or vacation on valentine – making memories is more fun than chocolates and flowers. 55 percent of those survey would choose the Caribbean for their ideal romantic cruise destination, with 66 percent admitting that they’d rather give up chocolate than sex for a week. On average, most couples are likely to renew their wedding vows after 23 years – and a cruise is a perfect place for a re-declaration of lasting love.

Numerous cruise companies offer all-inclusive vow renewal packages that include the services of a wedding planner. Nautical nuptials are all the rage with a maritime officer, in full regalia, performing the ceremony. Events like these can be tailored to any size be it a simple soirée for two, or a large party of family and friends.

Choose from a sultry three-day escape to the Bahamas nibbling on chocolate covered strawberries and caviar, or an extravagant, three-week decadent splurge under Antigua’s cloudless skies. Dine on a fine champagne and lobster dinner in sophisticated Barbados or a candle-lit supper on the powdery sands for two in St Lucia. Restoring the intimate connections you may have lost due to the face pace of life is easier without the distraction of cellphones, traffic jams, and a hectic schedule. On a romantic cruise, it's just you, your partner, and the endless ocean making memories that you'll have for a lifetime. Doing nothing, yet everything together.
