Travel twenty miles above Earth for just £102,000 per person in Space Perspective's balloon-borne capsule
It won't have the gumdrop shape that the term ‘capsule’ typically conjures up in aerospace innovation, instead it will be conical and carry along a huge balloon. Creators Florida-based Spaceship Neptune unveiled luxury pod - complete with a bar - and confirmed tickets are likely to in the region of £102,000 ($125,000) per person. Flights are slated to commence in 2024 and the ticket price includes all drinks in thepressurised capsule, which will carry all passengers through the Earth’s protectiveatmosphere. This thin band of air made up of numerous layers, based on temperature, forms an important protective blanket to prevent heat and radiation emitted from the sun. It also contains the air we breathe. The Earth's atmosphere is composed of approximately 78 percent nitrogen, 21 percent oxygen, 0.93 percent Argon, 0.04 percent carbon dioxide as well as trace amounts of neon, helium, methane, krypton, ozone and hydrogen, as well as water vapour. Customers flying on Spaceship Neptune will benefit from the enhanced panoramic views afforded by the capsule's windows, which will be the largest ever to fly so high, according to company representatives.
Spaceship Neptune will also sport a proprietary "splash cone" at its base, which is designed to make its ocean landings softer and safer.
