The Caribbean was buzzing over rumors that James bond lothario, Daniel Craig, has been lobbying to get the producers of the Bond franchise to give his wife, Rachel Weisz, a role as a villain in the followup to “Skyfall.”
The 24th Bond film is still without a director let alone a leading lady. Craig, who has played Ian Fleming’s iconic British spy in three films since 2006, already signed on for at least two more Bond movies. Last year’s “Skyfall” was the highest-grossing Bond ever, clocking in at $1.1 billion worldwide. It was also the highest-grossing British film of all time, and the seventh highestgrossing film ever. Craig’s wife Rachel Weisz (currently starring in Oz the Great and Powerful) recently said she’d be interested in playing a bad villainess opposite her husband. And Craig is all for it! “I’d like to! I wouldn’t say no. I’m not a snob about entertainment,” she said. A Craig-Weisz faceoff would definitely help the 24th James Bond movie try and surpass “Skyfall.”
