Grenada

The Caribbean island of Grenada is set to become the latest territory to off er residency through the revival of a Citizenship by Investment programme.

Already successfully adopted by nearby islands St Kitts and Dominica, this strategy will undoubtedly vastly increase popularity and levels of interest in the island off ering property investors rights of citizenship along with the associated visa free travel benefits.

Ray Withers, CEO of multi award-winning international investment agency, Property Frontiers, comments, “We have long been believers in the Grenada market which has performed well over recent years and continues to outpace its Caribbean rivals. However, the government recently announced a policy that is expected to drive unprecedented levels of growth - Citizenship by Investment.

BAHA Mar, the $US 3.5 billion resort development on The Bahamian Riviera has announced the launch of exclusive programmes off ering property purchasers prestigious memberships and fi nancial benefits. The series of three offers available for a limited time only has been formed with the global buyer in mind, providing a leaseback return guarantee, economic citizenship option and the opportunity to become a founding member at the Bahamar resort.

Baha Mar will boast a total of 2,200 rooms across four new hotel brands including Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, Mondrian a Morgans Hotel group property, Hyatt Hotels and resorts and the Baha Mar casino & Hotel Residences are available to purchase at the resort with prices starting from $US 1.5 million.

Three luxury three-bedroom residences designed by the acclaimed Benjamin Noriega-Oritz have been released at Baha Mar. The designer was commissioned by Morgans Hotel Group to create its exclusive offering at Mondrian.

Barbados

There is a last opportunity to purchase a completed semi-detached, four bedroom town house style villa on Sugar Cane Ridge on the exclusive Royal Westmoreland estate in Barbados. The other nine properties in the phase have all been sold over the last eighteen months for prices between US$1.25 million and US$1.59 million.

Park Hyatt – Groundbreaking on the Park Hyatt hotel at Banana Bay, Christophe Harbour, took place earlier this year. The final project will feature 200 hotel rooms and 50 branded residential condominiums. Phase One of construction has begun and will include the completion of 125 hotel guest rooms, two food and beverage outlets, a fitness center, a 12-treatment room spa and more than 7,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space. The second phase of construction will include the completion of the 75 remaining guest rooms and a third food and beverage outlet. The hotel is scheduled to open in the winter of 2014/2015.

Kittitian Hill – The name of the 84-unit cottage hotel has been announced as ‘Belle Mont Farm,’ the residence area villas will be known as ‘YaYa Groves,’ and the 18-hole championship golf course ‘Irie Fields.’ Together they will comprise the Phase One opening that will take place at the end of 2013. Kittitian Hill has also announced that it has acquired the Golden Lemon Inn and commenced redevelopment of this historic property located on the northern coast of St. Kitts at Dieppe Bay.
